United Nations declared that Internet Access become a basic human rights.

According to a UN report, the internet has become an indispensable tool for realizing a range of human rights, combating inequality, and accelerating development and human progress.

Because of that, states should adopt effective and concrete policies and strategies...to make the internet widely available, accessible and affordable to all.

Based on International Telecommunication Union the Philippines ranked fourth in the least internet usage in Southeast Asia. Approximately 6.47 of 100 Filipinos use the internet service.
